The cold-start problem

Clear glass. Frozen wipers.

The windshield starts clearing, but the blades can stay frozen at the bottom edge. For drivers, that means another round of lifting, scraping or waiting before the day can begin.

Work vansOne more step before the first stop of the day, repeated across every van in the lot.
TrucksOutdoor parking, large windshields and frozen blades to deal with before the first job.
Tractor-trailersPre-trip already takes long enough. A powered accessory adds one more thing to install and maintain.
How it works

Use the heat the vehicle already makes.

Wiperthaw sits over the dashboard defroster outlets and turns part of the airflow toward the wiper park zone.

Illustrative comparison: without Wiperthaw, air points toward a thawing patch in the middle of the windshield while the wiper area remains frosty. With Wiperthaw, airflow and the illustrated thawing band are directed toward the parked wipers at the windshield base.

01 · POSITION

Set it over the defroster outlets

The molded duct follows the dashboard and takes in defroster air through an opening in its base.

02 · REDIRECT

Turn the airflow toward the blades

The internal channel carries warm air forward and out toward the lower windshield.

03 · WARM UP

Run the defroster like normal

No second heater, adapter, wiring harness or power source.

Passive airflowRedirects heat the cab is already producing.
No electrical installNothing to wire, fuse or charge.
Fit reviewed per vehicleEvery request is checked against the dashboard and outlet layout.

Where it belongs

Built for vehicles that park outside and start early.

Whether you run one work truck or a yard full of vans, start with the vehicles you use. Share your makes, models and quantities to request a quote for your application.

Work vans

Service, delivery and utility vans that leave the yard at the same time every day.

Medium and heavy trucks

For commercial trucks facing cold starts in the yard and on the job.

Tractor-trailers

For owner-operators and fleets planning for cold starts and outdoor parking.

Start with the right fit. Dashboard shape, outlet position, sight lines and airbag zones vary. Every request starts with the year, make and model.
Compared with the usual fixes

Most winter fixes add a chore or add hardware.

Common questions

Before you request a quote.

Does Wiperthaw need power?

No. There is no heating element, cord or electrical connection. It redirects air from the defroster the vehicle already has.

Will it fit every vehicle?

No. Dashboard shape, outlet placement, sight lines and airbag zones all vary. That is why we ask for the year, make and model up front.

How do I request pricing for my vehicles?

Use the quote form to share your vehicle year, make, model and estimated quantity. Compatibility, availability and pricing must be confirmed before an order is placed. No payment is required with your request.

Can I request a quote for a mixed fleet?

Yes. Select Mixed fleet and list each vehicle year, make and model, along with the quantities you have in mind.
